Maureen Linden and Nathan Moon recently attended the 2016 RESNA NCART Conference, which was hosted in Arlington, Virginia, from July 10-14, 2016. This joint conference of RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America and the National Coalition of Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART) featured presentations on assistive technology and engineering solutions for people with disabilities. Maureen and Nathan both participated in the RESNA Board of Directors meeting on July 11, 2016. Maureen serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors and member of the RESNA Executive Committee, and Nathan serves as chair of the RESNA Government Affairs Committee.
At the conference, Maureen was recognized with the 2016 RESNA Fellow award, which is RESNA’s highest honor and is conferred to members who have made long term and substantial contributions to the fields of rehabilitation or assistive technology as well as significant contributions to RESNA. She also be inducted into RESNA’s Hall of Fellows. Nathan also contributed to RESNA and NCART Hill Day visits in support of complex rehabilitation technology and the Assistive Technology (AT) Act Programs, which includes the Georgia Tools for Life program at Georgia Tech.
